    High Lakes

    Thinking of heading up to the high lakes above Oroville later this week. Anyone been up there lately? How are the trails/lakes/campsites? Probably going to spend 1-2 nights up there, any favorite spots? I haven' been up there yet and the GF hasn't been in many years.

          Haven't been up there in over 20 years & I'm itching to go back big time! This time of year the trails shouldn't be too tough but, like I said, been awhile since I've made the trip. Low traffic & should be real nice. Just go up & shoot from the hip. Find an inviting spot & go from there. When we move back I'll be more than happy to join you!

            I haven't ben able to find any recent reports locally or on the friends of the highlakes website. I haven't got my cage in yet so I'm a little nervous about just winging it. At least the drive isnt that far. I'll report back if we make it up there.
