The 93 Cobra manifolds were $400.00 new back in the day from FMS, they have been reprodued, not sure if they are US made now.

    ECUs - $100.00 and up

so would a fair price be $600 for upper and lowers, computer and harness?

Karl, maybe my cheapness is showing but I'd say closer to $400. The manifold was good, better than the regular 89-93 Mustang 5.0 stuff, but not much better than the now widely available Explorer setup. The ECU is unique; it was intended for use with 24 lb injectors plus the larger Cobra throttle body and mass air meter. Back in the day, a lot of drag racers tossed that ECU in favor of the A9L, I believe because it was felt that some parts of the tune in the latter computer were better for racing. Doug can chime in here, since he's way more versed in that than I am. Still, it devalued the Cobra ECU since folks wanted to get rid of it.

That said, I think it's a great swap for a Bronco, as long as you get all the pieces and understand they need to work together. The extra margin that the 24 lb injectors give means you can squeeze the engine for more power without bumping up against the limit of the more-common 19 lb injectors. To go with bigger injectors using a standard Mustang 5.0 ECU (like I have) a chip is required.
