  • A job got me.

Looks like a long term project is opening up for me in the desert. Supposed to start in two weeks. My practice run at retirement was sweet but I do like to do what I do for $$.

I should be able to shuffle Bronco parts up and down I-5 and 395. I may even take my flatbed to work if I score big on some desert classic. Let's see, 10 MPG times 400 mile = well, maybe not.

Anyway, it will be good to reverse the old cash flow for awhile. Stay tune for details. Anybody want to guess what part of sunny SoCal holds much my future for the next year or so?

Excellent Henry! Might be a road trip in order for a meeting in the desert! Good luck with this my friend!

I wish. That would be Garden of Eden by comparison. I am going to have the pleasure of driving through that beautiful country twice a month. If everything works out this will be a 14/14 job. Two weeks off/two weeks on. Think I'll take the first two weeks off . My kind of schedule.

You know those bastards that watch you work when your excavating pipe trenches? I'm one of those. The relatively new environmental laws require an archaeologist to monitor earth disturbing activities on many projects. You never know when something or somebody might turn up.

Not at all. I will expect to have every other two weeks off. The schedule is not fixed yet, but if my start date remains April 22 that leaves me free untill then or May 7 through 20 etc. I'm still in on that trip if the dates fall good.
