Have not spent much time on NorCal lately. But oh hell yeah, I try to thank any of these old guys that are still around. You see them with their hats or jackets on. It is almost impossible for us to imagine what they faced as young men and how it changed their lives. One old guy was hot rodding around in a wheel chair in Sam's Club. In talking to him he was very animated and jovial. Said he and his buddy hit the beach at Iwo Jima. Except his buddy never made it to the beach. He proudly showed me where a bullet went through his hand making his thumb boneless. God bless them all.
