  • Need some help in the Fresno/Clovis area

Im living in fresno going to fresno state so I don't have any tools or anyway to work on my bronco. The rear end is making some really weird noises and vibrating pretty bad. It was rebuilt a couple years ago and put new bearings in 6 months ago.

Im hoping someone in the area would let me come over and help me out. Wanting to pull the axle shafts and see if the bearings went out again.

If anyone has any free time Ill bring some lunch or something with me.

      Hi,
Sounds odd to have it rebuilt only a few years ago, then new bearings 6 months ago and then they would be out again? In my experience, bearings last a LONG time. Are you sure you have fluid in it?

      unbalanced tires?
      driveline?

I'm thinking u joints. I'd drop the driveline and lock the front hubs and drive around the block. Then let us know what your hearing. I'm up by Millerton but won't be home this weekend.
There is a NOLB meeting at Blackbeards Friday at 6:30. Bring it there and someone will help find the problem.

            Wade what's NOLB?

I'm just down the street from campus right off millbrook. I don't have any power tools but I agree with the rest of the guys on driveline.

I forgot to subscribe to the thread, just saw all of your guys posts. I will pull the driveshaft out and see if that gets rid of the noises

While your under there give your output shaft a good shake.
