Who's going? I see in another thread that CityHick is going. The wife and are driving the Bronco from Grass Valley. We are avoiding I5 and cutting over to the coast at Red Bluff. That turns an 8 hour trip into a 10 hour trip so we are spending the night in Fortuna which is the halfway point. We are doing the same thing on the way back.

So if anyone is going post up here.

I am still figuring out my plans but I would like to go. As it seems like I have options for trailers now, the biggest hurdle is cleared. I have considered driving my Bronco all the way there and back but I have gotten spoiled by the air conditioned seats, rocking stereo, and overall comfort of my F150. I will probably take the most direct route possible and do the drive all in one shot without staying anywhere along the way.

We are arriving on the 16th. We are going to stay an extra day and go salmon fishing on Sunday. We are leaving Florence on Monday the 21st.

We are staying at the Best Western Pier Point Inn.

That's great! I'm arrive on the 11th and I"ll probably leave late in the evening on the 19th. I want to beat the solar eclipse traffic if possible.

We are going to be bank fishing on Tuesday and Wednesday for salmon, close to the jetty, and probably surf fishing depending on the tides and weather.

I lost my dog sitter, and my convenient trailer connection fell through. I don't take my dog on trips like that anymore, he's old, deaf, and tires quickly. He'd not be having any fun.

I'm still registered, and scheduled to share 14justice's camp spot, but I may just eat the registration fee and stay home to work on some projects.

I'll update once I decide for sure.
