I'm starting to think I may have to get my ski boat ready for an escape! It's been raining pretty hard all day but wow, in the last 30 minutes its really started pouring. I sure hope my roof holds out until spring! I'm glad I'm not commuting in this mess today - gotta love my Friday work from home days...

Sorry to hear that but on the other side of the coin I gettin tired of Calgarys weather, its either -20C or melting the skim cover of snow. Crazy weather
It was so windy this morning, about 100~150 sq ft of my roof blew off, comp shingles, felt and all. Right down to the plywood. The wind finally died down enough to try to put some felt back on, but it got dark while I was setting up. I managed to get one course on, hopefully it doesn't rain too much tonight, and I'll be able to get it covered back up tomorrow morning. Strongest winds I've ever seen here. The shingles were blowing off like a deck of cards.

Just talked to a buddy in Foresthill. A 100' pine tree (on his neighbor's property) fell down smashing his shed, my jet ski, his toy hauler (with his quad inside), his 5 yd. dump truck, and his company truck. The company truck only lost the tail gate, but everything else is smashed. He just moved his personal pick up and parked the company truck where it had been maybe an hour before.
