  • Vinyl source?

Whos got a good source on some marine grade vinyl? My bikini top is ripped and I am thinking of making a full safari top. I need 7'x5'.
I did take a drive over to a local fabric shop and found some orange basketball vinyl. Talk about baller, but I dont think I could pull it off

Check Dom's on 1st Street in Livermore. They carry a lot of different kinds of vinyl and fabric. I'm not sure anybody could pull off that "basketball" vinyl look!

        Re: Vinyl source?

I checked Joann's in Dublin and in concord. They seem to only have 54" wide. I would like 60" so I can make the top out of 1 single piece. Who here has a safari top? is yours 1 piece or is it stiched together in the middle?

Also I found some TWILL fabric and that looks like another option. Its almost the same material Dickies are made out of but thicker.

Why not aluminum? Screw it in place and your soft/hard top should still fit right over unless you want to take it on and off.
