    Looks like another testament to the HANS device as well (and just plain good luck)... he was subjected to a lot of shock in weird directions and obviously didn't hurt his back or neck.

            Good point. I used to help a buddy out by crewing on his sprint car. It was all fun and games when we ran dirt, but when he started running asphalt it got serious. Seeing someone hit the wall at 120+ was pretty damn spooky. When the HANS device came out it was adopted really quick by the drivers.
