My winch is not working and i am guessing its 1 of the three solenoids inside the black control box. Is there anyway I can drive my rig to your house or you come to me and I can test out 9using your control box)to see if its the solenoids or the winch itself?

Im off work around 4 and should be home by 5 today.

Not sure when I'll be home today (worked 14 hours on Friday and today isn't shaping up to be much better); but If I'm around we can try and test your winch with my solenoids.

Probably best to text me sometime later today, I really have no idea when I'll be available.

Got it fixed after work. Turns out it was the lower solenoid inside the box.
Looks like one of those would be a good spare part item to carry.

Glad to hear you got it working. Got your VM last night, had the phone on silent and was driving the Bronco... not a good combination.

That's a fact! Or maybe three of them?
Of all the winch failures I've seen over the years, probably 95% of them are solenoid issues.
Especially on winches that don't get used very often.

Glad you got it fixed so quick. Hope you were just testing it, rather than finding out it didn't work when you really needed it!
