  • WTB 4r70w maybe

    Anyone have a 4r70w they want to sell ? Just kind of kicking around the idea of 1. not really sure yet, but want to see what might be out there.

        250K on it, straight outside, rough inside. Hasn't been registered in a few years, does not pass smog... Allwheel drive, so you do not have to go into the tranny with AA adapter to D20

        96 tranny has none of the upgrades that the later ones have, so be warned.

            350$ is cheap enough to grab it all, pull all the parts you want or can sell then scrap the rest.

            Build the transmission up accordingly after!

              I don't think there is anything wrong with the 96, it has GT40 heads which can use any 5.0 headers. The factory exhaust tubular manifolds are Very restrictive... Toss them.
              It is closer to Mustang EFI, so some mods are possible with those parts.
              With 250K it would need the tranny gone through, unless it has already been done.
              I think Tatersalad wants it to leave so if you offered $300 he might bite?
