is there any problem putting a 3 to 1 203 in front of a 2 to 1 np205? I always thought the lower gear ratio should be in the rear.

I think it must be a 3-1 gearset for a 205, never heard of one for the 203.

I found some info on the gearset but not much. He did not say if the 203 case needs to be machined. Wagoner machine's website doesn't give much info.
