  • WTB 78/79 Front Dana 60 Axle

I know, I know, they are hard to find and expensive...

But I am thinking about some Bronco changes and am on the prowl for some parts.
If you have one or know of someone with one let me know much how you/they want.
Condition open to fresh takeout or built and locked crawler ready.
This may sway my thinking or open up some new avenues...

    Thanks!

Anybody else have one laying around?
I guess I could use a later one too since I will use the Cage weld on mounts...

The bad thing about the newer frontends is that it put the Diff. right under the frame. I have read were some take 4" off the Pass. side to make it work.
Kick Ass offroad (Dean) does a great job of narrowing axles too.

He'll charge $150.00 to narrow the pass side and $60.00 to cut and respline the axle shaft.
May as well have him cryo it too.
I believe he told me $140 or $160 to cryo the ring, pinion, and shafts.
1970 w/89 5.0, np 435/203/205, 456/locker/ARB, 4 wheel disc brakes w/hydroboost, 5.5" lift w/ext.radius arms, 3" bod lift, RS 9000's, tilt column, Hydro assist steering, 39.5" pitbull's on H1's. 4 link rear suspension. Hey brother, can you spare some change, I need parts....

That's the inner shafts not both inner and outer. Don't recall the cost to cryo the outers. Not too much though.

That not a bad deal. on the 78/79 60's shafts you can not cut and respline they neck down. I had to get new set $500.00 plus $500.00 for 35 spline outers. My 30 spline outers were shot.

You can cryo the stock inners and buy 35 spline outers and never worry about it.
He will retube one side for $200.00 if you wanted to lengthen the D side. All depends on how much you wanna spend.
