I dont want to dump a ton of cash right now. Im slowly piecing together my FW stuff.

My rear housing is twisting up causing my ARB to leak once in a while. I would use the other housing to build then swap under the rig. I dont want any down time this summer. I still have wheeling to do.

FW will be in a year or two. Ruffstuff housings are inexpensive, But the parts that go in them are EXPENSIVE! Or the 60's route, But everyone wants a ton of cash for a set that needs to be 100% redone.

I'll take a small bearing rear EB axle too! anyone?

Grasshopper,,, there is NOWAY that the housing will have any afect on your ARB and why it leaks. The ARB is mounted to the carrier.

Agreed, I am not seeing the correlation here. If the ARB is leaking air you have a problem either internal to the locker itself or with the supply line running between the carrier and housing.

Re: WTB BB EB Rear Housing

As the housing "Twists" from end to end, the carrier moves. The axles sit inside the carrier. All this play will move the Orings and cause a leak.

                      FWIW: As of 7/1/11
                      New ARB 5mm blue line
New brass fittings in the third member with tape on them.
ARB heavy duty line going from the 3rd member to the blue line.
2 Brand new orings on the unit.
                      Fresh, clean gear oil.

All the connections are tight and do not leak. I have sprayed them with soapy water to find wehere it is coming from. No luck. It is internal.

So The last thing left is the housing twisting up.

I know where a full width complete brake to brake housing (set up for an EB even) is? I also know where a FW 44 housing that needs to be retubed is (hell you can have that for free)
