  • What Should I Do? (dash)

    ok i am getting ready to paint the dash and relized that the AM Radio needs to come out. but i dont want three holes looking at me. i want to just cover it up or do something to it..but i realy dont want to stick a piece of sheet metal on it. anyone have any ideas what i can do? anyone have a great idea a can steal??

    heres a pic of where the radio use to be

    The area i need to cover is 6 1/2"x1" and the area that can be used is 8"x3 1/2"

    You can tack weld a small plate on the backside and bondo the front, since you painting it anyways.

      Place elect. switches in the sm holes. Place a sticker over the large hole with your shift pattern of your D20. I orderd one of these stickers for about 5 bucks. Looks good

          but the problem is i danot need anyswitches yet.. maybe some for lights in the future... hmm u may be onto something...

          i just thought of maybe a ford emblem?

            ok i looked at the WH catalog and im am doing one big hole with a cig lighter. the other 2 i want to put a switch for lights on my bumper (soon to be)
            oval. but now i have another Question. i am going to use the same bezels and knobs but what kind of switch should i use??

              you should be golden with any toggle switch that has a threaded neck. The more things change the more they stay the same. The threads on the inside of the bezels are the same size as those on the necks of the threaded toggles.

                You can always find uses for toggle switches!!! Damn, I need to dust my dash!! The Mt. Watson trail really dusted me up!!
