Cool. Would love to see the linkage up close on that Uni-Steer setup to see how it handles the up-n-down movement of the suspension.
Looks like you caught a candid of Danica Patrick there at the Roush trailer in pic #2 post #4.

Nice pics!
Rack & Pinion mounted on the front axle housing: Not a fan, bad idea. Now the steering u-joints & slip-section (double D?) are exercised with the suspension motion - something they were not designed to do.Cross-threaded is tighter than lock-tite

So next year I must attend SEMA. It has been settled. Anybody who may have extra tickets or whatever... consider me "in". I have a car that could do Vegas and back on a single tank.

Ya I reviewed my other photos...guess that was Danica Patrick...I wondered what the fuss was about. That was in the Ford booth outside.
so looking at the steering linkage, it came down onto the axle assembly using a slip joint almost vertically down. They used a pretty hefty heim to hold that linkage tight to the frame. I decided afterwards that it looks like an exciting design to try. It might prove extreamly stable. I would love to see a test vehicle to drive and try it.Last edited by Spaceburger; 11-09-2015, 06:56 PM.Relativity: Where ever you go, there you are.
