Thoughts on rear shackles?

Had a shackle fail on a friends rig while on a trip last week. The wrap around the lower bushing (frame hanger side) unwrapped, basically the weld broke and the wrap straightened itself out. Thoughts on replacement shackles? Have seen the Wild Horses ones, look nice but have heard of them compromising the bracket... any input welcomed as I will do the same upgrade to mine as well as his! Thanks

We used to use 2 wheel drive drop spindles from maybe belltech???? Its been a lot of years since I considered those. They all bent and had to be plated on the outside, never had one unwrap tho.

what about converting to a ruff style shackle that uses a spring bushing? These are arguable stronger, tho I used to bend the shit out of those too.

I got the boomerang style shackles installed today. Way nice Can't wait to go wheeling n try them out.
