Straightening / chrome plating bumpers / aluminum hubcaps

In the past I have been warned not to get stuff chrome plated in California due to excessively restrictive California EPA regulations.

Is this still good advice? I have located a place (abc plating) in sparks, Nevada.

The Nevada place will generally not use triple plating for aluminum since it does not work well for aluminum, 5and does not do powder chrome plating. So is anyone aware of any good options for restoring aluminum hubcaps in or nearby California?

You might check out a chrome shop in Lodi that does really chrome work.
