The motor actually runs!

Got the motor fired today finally after sitting for a couple of years. Primed the motor first to get some oil pressure then it fired on the second try! Idle is good, sounds like a race car with the open headers. Think I'm really going to like the injection! Only ran for a 10 seconds or so then a river of tranny fluid poured onto the floor. Must have damaged the pump installing it. Will get the tranny fixed then head to the muffler shop for some exhaust work!

On the Tranny, check where your dipstick tube inserts into the pan or into the housing. Problem may be there.

Whooo Hoooo!! That thing is going to rip!!! Are you gonna run dual exhaust or a 2 into 1? I hope the tranny thing isn't a big deal. Lets see a picture of the whole truck!

Sweet news. Got to love that open header sound.
On the trany, did you do all three steps on the torque converter. On my first ford trany I only put it in the first step like on a chevy, and ended up braking the front pump. Bad day. If I recall correctly though, it didn't puke fluid, it just didn't do anything. This was on a C6, so maybe the C4 doesn't take the three steps.

Congrats on the start-up. Looks awesome as well.



That PS pump is the best Ford pump out there IMHO. It pushes my 40's with no issues. We'll see how it does with the added Hydro brakes.
