  • Sealing new panels - What to use?

I've got all the new panels (Floor boards, tranny cover, inner fenders) all done. Turned out really great once I figured out how to spot weld with the help of self tapping screws.

Now I need to seal everything up, what is everyone using that won't trap moisture in there and cause more rust? Suggestions?

Go talk to a local autobody supplier, they have several options and can give you plusses and minuses for each. I bought some seam sealer that comes in a caulking tube, I believe it was a 3M product. It requires a steady hand and a little skill/luck because its got a very short time where it remains workable, so if its a finished area that will be seen, beware. I was told that strip caulk was even more difficult to use.

    Good luck
