Alternator?

My Alternator whines a little when running. Basically you can hear the pulley spinning. Does that mean anything besides a noisy pulley?

Hard to tell. Could be a bearing going out. Could be the alt. itself dieing. Better bring a spare.

A battery going bad can make the alt wine.

I don't think it is the battery because it is brand new. Also it is not a loud whine more like a dried pulley sound.
