Which Donor vehicle oil pans will work? Will the ford truck pan work or will the front pumpkin hit the bottom during suspension droop? If the truck pan will work does it have to be 5.0 or will the 351w WORK? What ele will have to be taken off the donor or have to be ordered? Pickup tube? Dipstick? Thanks

Re: EB 302/5.0 Oil Pan Substitutes
i think the 351w bolt pattern is different. You may want to look for a car pan. I think the 351w pan is the same as a station wagon pan. I also think you will need the right dipstick and tube and oil pickup as they need to match the pan.1968, 69 351W,NP 435, Stak 5.22, D44 with 4.10's, chebby discs and a detroit, 9" with 4.11's and a lockright. 35" MTR's, TRO, WH cage, ps, pb, 3.5" susp, 2" body lifts, pile of parts in the garage, empty wallet!

Re: EB 302/5.0 Oil Pan Substitutes
I don't know about other cars, but Mustangs, Capri's, Mark VII, and T-birds with 5.0's all have dual sump pans that work in Broncos. 351s and 302s have different oil pans and are not compatible with each other.Last edited by highlander; 11-03-2009, 07:54 PM.69, 342 EFI, C4, NP203, D20, 4.5" SL, 2" BL, 4.88 9" 35 spline ARB, 4.88 HP D44, WAH, ARB, CTM's, front disc , 37 x 14.50 Toyo MT, Ram Assist, and rear 4-link

Re: EB 302/5.0 Oil Pan Substitutes
The 351W pan is a lot wider than the 289/302 pan, due to much larger main journals and crankshaft.SOLD: 1975 Ford Bronco: 105" wheelbase, King 14" c/o shocks, King 2" air bumps w/ Duff arms, 4 link rear w/ coils. Re: EB 302/5.0 Oil Pan Substitutes
Update after some research: 289-302-351 same bolt pattern, 289-302 pan is not as deep as a 351 pan.351 has a longer stroke therefor it needs a deeper pan. you can put a 351 pan on a 289-302, but you cant use a 289-302 pan on a 351.The proper depth oil pick-ups should be used with the coresponding pans...72 sport/exp.,TBI 302,NP435,4.56 Powrlok/ARB in Full Width's.5.5" CAGE lift w/arms,2'' bl,37's, rescued from the concrete jungle (L.A.)
