  • Decisions, Decisions...

I am getting ready to start re-working my front end setup,
and was deciding to go either an OX or an Eaton E-Locker
in my D44. Now, I have another dilema because I have found
    a late 80's D60 for a few hundred dollars. Should I tackle
the swap project or sink more money into the D44? I also need
discs for the 44, so figure the locker, cromo axles, big joints, and
    disc$. Or, D60 and locker...?

    What do YOU guys think?

I say build the 44 and sell me the 60 for a few hunderd.

Seriously though, it all depends on how you are going to use your rig? What size tires are you running? How heavy is your right foot? What kind of driving style do you have off road? Finesse or hammer down? How much HP does your engine have?

Heavy foot, hammered down, with a stock '89 5.0 HO turning 36's behind 4.56's.
Probably stock 4.11's in the D60 for now...

I also found a D60 rear setup for a Dodge van. The spring perches are
way too wide, but I figured that didn't matter because those are going to
      need to be changed anyway...

Yup, sounds like you will be better served to put your money into the 60 and never look back.
