  • Anyone familiar with cams and EFI?

Im trying to choose between two cams for my 302, this engine has roughly 9.4:1 compression and C9TE heads with late 80's truck EFI. Any thoughts on these two cams would be appreciated, as I am not familiar with running these types of cams with EFI. Thanks!

    choice #1 - 272/272 .484/.484 slightly rough idle
    choice #2 - 278/278 .498/.498 rough idle
    choice #3- dont use either

Talk about a blast from the past! Glad they talked about lobe centers in that other thread.
That's just what I wanted to ask you about the cams you listed stonecrusher. There's more to the specs than just lift and duration. Do you know, or can you find out the other info for your cams of choice?
EFI definitely likes certain profiles, but tuning the ECU can compensate for some of that. If you're going to stay with a stock tune, you should consider that aspect too.
