  • Hood Clearance Explorer EFI swap.

I have the motor mounts that raise the motor a bit. I have a stock metal hood with old school hood bubble. I have a two inch body lift. If I add a phenolic space to the intake will I need a new hood? How much room do I have?

Marlon, same setup as mine (but stock no bubble hood) and fits fine. Does touch the PS res a bit on flex, time to lower or remote...

Good deal. Thanks. I was really looking for a reason to buy a fiberglass hood. Mine is falling apart and the fiberglass is lighter.

        Change equal how much weight?

Aluminum heads, intakes, and water pump. Fiberglass hood, winchline over cable, and headers over stock cast exhaust manifolds.

        I'd say net 100+ lbs. Maybe 150
