  • Installing Inner Axles Seals

I ve read about two methods on installing inner axle seals on my D30.
    1. Long extensions with a socket that fits inside the seal
    2. All-thread with a washer and nut on each end, turn the nuts till the washers push the seals in.

So far neither method has worked and I ve destroyed one seal. The seals want to go in easy on top, but pretty resistant on the bottom. Ideas???

I've used a lot of those tools and I thought they all sucked.
I just use a socket and hammer. I use the side of the hammer to tap on the socket and beat the seal in.

Got it done. I used All-threat with my hub socket on backwards so the flat part touched the seal. Once the seal was half way in I used a long pipe with the socket over it and literally beat the seal into place.
