WH 3.5 coils max compressed length?

Does anyone know the 3.5" lift WH max compression length? Ive got a lot of stuff with my rear 4 link and to use all of it, I may have to rethink coils.

IIRC those coils will coil bind at about 10.5"

I don't have the exact measurement but hear is a 3.5" WH coil pretty much fully compressed on the rear of my bronco. Looks like it gets almost to 6". I think the bronco frame measures 5" high??

A linear rate coil like the Deavers would proabbaly compress shorter.

I'm gonna guess 6.5-7"... The bronco frame is around 4.25" tall because a piece of 2"x4" tube will slide into it... If you can actually achieve complete coil bind you should be able to just add the number of coils multiplied by the diameter of the coil wire diameter.... Looks like you're planning to have your rig riding pretty low...

I have two 1 ton EBs with linked rears. I love the 3.5 WH coils.

I have one with 96 inch wheel base. 4 linked Dana 70 rear (67" wide). 39.5 Iroks. the bottom of the frame is 26 inches. Flex is sick. I really need some limiting straps.

My new rig is 108 inch wheel base. 3-linked rear (upper wishbone) 14 bolt 67" wide. 40 inch Creepy Crawlers comp compound. The bottom of the frame is 23 inches. Flex is really sick. It does have limit straps.

Both of the upper coil buckets are mounted so the top of the coil is barely below the stock floor.

Yes. Both rigs are sitting at 15.5 front and rear.

I went with same 3.5 WH RC coils at all corners. The links are very close to same length front and rear. The suspension is very stable and balanced (equal flex front and rear suspension). This has worked great because The body is always flexed half way between the front and rear. I've seen some rigs where the body will tilt with front or rear axle. My rigs are very stable.

Remember if your springs are captured at both ends of the springs as one spring compresses the other side will extend. Your pics only show one side compressed and assuming the other side has no reaction. That's why we love live axles.
