this is how paper mache worked on our brittle like ash vents, now hard as rocks,water ,glue,newspaper ,and the real trick was a acid free painters cotton pressed artboard is what i call it at hobby lobby.We basted the whole back side ,used a heat gun for a base.Then soaked paper and laid it on and formed,then in house oven 200 for 1.5 hrs
