Oh man... I want to go soooo bad but I don't think its in the cards for me this year. How long will registration stay open? If its open until the last minute there's a chance I might be able to make it... but I don't want to register and then not have the rig ready.

It would be great to put together a NorCal group and go this year. This is an unbelievable place to wheel. Like nothing else that I've ever wheeled. Moab is one of those places that you just HAVE to go to in your life time. The Brobco Safari is a great event too.

I wont be making it this year unfortunately. If you have the Jan/Feb issue of bronco driver some cool canadians did an article on 08. They even got a pic of me coming back up White knuckle in there. Last year kicked ass. I really wish I could make it again this year, but Kawaii is in the cards instead. I heard last year from Clint that they were planning on keeping it a specific time period from now on, but I don't remember the criteria. It may be the first week of May was the plan. If you can swing this trip, do it.

                  Re: Moab Bronco Safari 2009

I won't be going this year. I have a new boy coming last week in April. We may get some friends together in the fall and head out then. Awesome place to wheel. I had too many rig problems last year to hit all I wanted so I HAVE to go back. If you go, don't drink the spring water by the river. It is said if you drink it and leave the place you will leave a part of you behind. I drank the water...

I have been to Moab a few times with the old man in a Jeep.
Never been there in the bronco though.

I think you should wait until next year, and we can caravan.

Man, I wish I could go this year. Been twice, and now I just want to go even more. That place is addictive.

Looks like they moved the headquarters this year. It was something like Moab rim campground. It is on the south end of town.

One more thing I forgot to mention about Utah in case you guys decide to go, and drink beer. Utah's beer is very low on the alcohol level. I recommend you bring your own, or buy the local brew at the Moab Brewery. Dead Horse Ale is my favorite.

Yeah, they changed it to a different camp ground for the headquarters because it's right across the street from the Moab Outpost. The Outpost is where they hold the show-n-shine and raffle. And if you break, they can help you fix anything in their shop.
